RICHARD III
Author: William Shakespeare
Date: 1591
With much delay, I am now updating the log on this year's first semester readings. Reading this play was a very tiresome experience. As you know, this is the fourth installment on a historical tetralogy, following the three Henry IV plays; this means many references to events and characters of the previous plays, which I did not read, and therefore had to get acquainted with by other means. On top of that, the play is not very good. Repeating a common opinion, with which I agree, the main character is very amusing, but there is nothing much else in the play to stir our interest.
