A Situation in Which Any Reaction Leads to Self-Contradiction

 People used to accuse me all the time of being arrogant. "You are always claiming to know better than everyone else", they said to me. There are only two possible responses -- aside from silence -- when someone is confronted with that particular accusation: admitting that they are right, and thus proving they are wrong, or refuting them, and thus proving they are right.
